Terms of Use
Effective September 8, 2026
Version 2026-09-08
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of ₿Hold and ₿Hold+ (collectively, the “Service”). By creating a ₿Hold account, purchasing ₿Hold+, or otherwise using account-based features of the Service after being presented with these Terms, you agree to be bound by them.
1. Nature of the Service
₿Hold is an educational and informational software tool designed to illustrate hypothetical opportunity-cost scenarios involving Bitcoin. ₿Hold uses a Bitcoin Power Law model to generate model-based illustrations.
₿Hold does not execute Bitcoin transactions, purchase Bitcoin on behalf of users, custody assets, manage investment portfolios, or make investment decisions for users.
2. Model Outputs
Any future Bitcoin price, future dollar value, percentage change, comparison, timeline, insight, share card, or similar output generated using ₿Hold's Bitcoin Power Law methodology is hypothetical and model-based.
Model outputs are not statements of fact regarding future market conditions. They are not promises, guarantees, assurances, or representations that Bitcoin will reach any particular price or that any user will realize any particular financial result.
Actual Bitcoin prices and financial outcomes may differ materially from values displayed by ₿Hold.
See the Disclaimer and methodology explanation for additional information.
3. No Investment or Professional Advice
Nothing provided through ₿Hold constitutes personalized financial, investment, securities, tax, accounting, or legal advice.
Nothing displayed by ₿Hold constitutes a recommendation, solicitation, or instruction to buy, sell, hold, borrow against, or otherwise transact in Bitcoin or any other asset.
You are solely responsible for evaluating whether any financial action is appropriate for your circumstances.
Use of ₿Hold does not create an investment-advisory, broker-client, fiduciary, attorney-client, accountant-client, or similar professional relationship.
4. Model and Market Risk
Mathematical models depend on assumptions and historical relationships that may change, weaken, or cease to apply.
Bitcoin is volatile and may experience substantial increases or decreases in value. You may lose money when purchasing or holding Bitcoin regardless of what a ₿Hold illustration displays.
₿Hold does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or future applicability of the Bitcoin Power Law model.
5. Opportunity-Cost Limitations
₿Hold's opportunity-cost comparisons are simplified educational illustrations.
Unless expressly included in a specific calculation, an illustration may not account for taxes, transaction fees, spreads, inflation, alternative investment returns, individual tax consequences, liquidity needs, borrowing costs, personal financial circumstances, changing model assumptions, future laws or regulations, or other real-world factors.
6. User Responsibility
You remain solely responsible for decisions made after viewing ₿Hold.
You should independently verify information that is important to a financial decision and consult appropriately qualified professionals when necessary.
7. Third-Party Information and Services
₿Hold may rely on third-party services for functions including authentication, payment processing, infrastructure, and Bitcoin market-price information.
Third-party information may be delayed, unavailable, incomplete, or inaccurate. Third-party services may also experience outages or interruptions.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, ₿Hold is not responsible for failures or inaccuracies caused solely by third-party services outside ₿Hold's reasonable control.
8. Accounts
The public calculator may be available without an account. Certain features, including saved decisions and ₿Hold+, require a ₿Hold account and a supported authentication method.
You are responsible for maintaining control of the authentication method associated with your account and for activity occurring through your account.
You may not access another person's account without authorization, attempt to circumvent account-security controls, or use another person's billing information without permission.
9. ₿Hold+ Subscriptions
₿Hold+ is a recurring subscription service.
- ₿Hold+ Monthly: $4.99 per month plus applicable tax. Automatically renews monthly until canceled.
- ₿Hold+ Annual: $39.99 per year plus applicable tax. Automatically renews annually until canceled.
These are recurring subscription prices, not one-time payments.
Applicable taxes may be added to the advertised subscription price, so the final amount charged may exceed $4.99 or $39.99.
10. Billing Authorization
By affirmatively purchasing ₿Hold+, you authorize Stripe, ₿Hold's payment processor, to charge the payment method you provide for the selected recurring subscription price and applicable taxes according to the selected billing interval until the subscription is canceled.
Payment-card information is processed by Stripe. ₿Hold does not store full payment-card numbers or card verification codes.
11. Plan Changes
If ₿Hold provides the ability to change between Monthly and Annual billing, the requested plan change will be processed according to the plan-change terms presented to you before confirmation.
Where ₿Hold indicates that a change is scheduled for the end of the current paid billing period, your existing plan remains active until that date and the new billing interval begins at the scheduled transition date.
Before confirming a plan change, ₿Hold will display the current plan, requested plan, applicable price, and effective date.
A pending plan change may be subject to restrictions designed to prevent overlapping or duplicate subscription changes.
12. Cancellation
You may cancel ₿Hold+ through Manage ₿Hold+ in your signed-in account, which opens Stripe's secure Customer Portal.
Cancellation stops future automatic renewal.
Unless otherwise stated at the time of cancellation or required by applicable law, ₿Hold+ access continues through the end of the billing period already paid for.
Canceling a subscription does not automatically reverse or refund charges for a billing period that has already begun.
See the Refunds & Cancellation Policy for additional information.
13. Refunds
Except where required by applicable law or expressly approved by ₿Hold, subscription payments are generally non-refundable.
Requests involving billing errors, duplicate charges, or other payment issues may be reviewed by ₿Hold.
See the Refunds & Cancellation Policy for full details.
14. Acceptable Use
You may not:
- attempt unauthorized access to ₿Hold, another user's account, or connected systems;
- interfere with or disrupt the Service;
- intentionally circumvent usage, security, or subscription controls;
- use automated systems in a manner that materially overloads or abuses the Service;
- use ₿Hold for fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purposes; or
- use the Service in violation of applicable law.
₿Hold may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the Service, or third-party systems.
15. Service Availability and Changes
₿Hold may update, maintain, modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of the Service.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security issues, infrastructure failures, third-party outages, or other circumstances.
₿Hold does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ₿Hold is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
₿Hold does not warrant that model outputs, market data, calculations, or third-party information will always be accurate, complete, current, or available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, ₿Hold and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or investment value arising from or related to use of the Service.
This includes losses arising because an actual Bitcoin price, market outcome, or financial result differs from a ₿Hold model illustration.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability to the extent such liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.
18. Changes to These Terms
₿Hold may update these Terms when the Service, business practices, or applicable requirements change.
Material changes will be identified by an updated effective date or Terms version and may require renewed acceptance where appropriate or required by law.
You will not be required to re-accept unchanged Terms each time you sign in.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refunds & Cancellation Policy, Disclaimer, and any additional terms presented during a specific transaction or feature, constitute the agreement governing your use of ₿Hold and ₿Hold+ with respect to the subjects they address.
